Why I Don’t See Fortune Tellers Anymore
If I was ever again tempted to see a fortune teller for a prediction, I would say this to myself first …
Ever since she was 9, Sabine NLD Bittle wanted to use her writing to change the world, but she knew she had a little growing up to do first. And after writing professionally for almost 30 years and surviving everything that life, trauma, a bipolar 1 diagnosis, and fibromyalgia threw at her, we think she’s pretty much earned her stars.
She’s written for the advertising, marketing, and film and television industries, but she’s found her truest voice as a mental health advocate and her “happy place” in ghostwriting; helping other people tell their stories and share their knowledge in books, podcasts, articles, and online courses.
Her ghostwritten works have been published by Pan Macmillan as well as by self-published authors and independent companies, and yes, she is actually writing her own book too.
She founded People Are Healing (dot love) and writes fearlessly about living with bipolar in her feature Butterflies And Broken Glass: My Bipolar Diaries. She writes because she believes that “when one of us finds healing, others might find some healing too”. Even if it’s only to make us feel less alone. She writes because this is her purpose, because we need more real and honest and compassionate voices, and because she knows that there are others “wading through broken glass and dreaming of butterflies”. Just like her.
