How we can honour our bodies for all they’ve carried us through.
By Sabine NLD Bittle
These are the bipolar diaries of struggle and survival by writer, mental health advocate, and People Are Healing founder Sabine NLD Bittle.
She started writing openly about living with bipolar disorder in 2016 when she realised just how much her lived experiences could help others. And even though she feared how it might affect her writing career, she couldn’t stay silent any more.
And so, in these blogs, she shares her real-life stories of healing, her downward spirals, her moments of lightness and darkness, and the insights that come from living with bipolar disorder.
She writes because she believes that “when one of us finds healing, others might find some healing too”. Even if it’s only to make us feel less alone. She writes because this is her purpose, because we need more real and honest and compassionate voices, and because she knows that there are others “wading through broken glass and dreaming of butterflies”. Just like her.

How we can honour our bodies for all they’ve carried us through.

Things I wish you would all know about bipolar disorder

I’d never felt so found and so lost in one moment.
